The Beginning
Dor- the threads of India was born from a simple belief, that true luxury lies in what is made slowly.
In villages across India, the loom still moves to an unhurried rhythm. Techniques passed from one generation to the next continue to shape fabric with remarkable precision.
Dor exists to honour that rhythm.
The Name
In Hindi, “Dor” means thread.
But a thread is never just a strand of yarn.
It is connection.
It is lineage.
It is continuity.
Every saree carries the thread of a story, of the artisan who wove it, and the woman who will wear it.
